Back and sides are Putamujo Arariba, which is a very rare South American hardwood. The soundboard is flamed Englemann Spruce, and has inlays of a broaching Humpback Whale and Dolphins on the lower bout. The fretboard is Ebony with a 660 mm scale length, the bridge and headplate are also Ebony, and the headplate has inlays of my "Maui Girl"™ trademark and "JAD" logo. The neck and peghead are Mahogany -- not as thin as a hardwood neck, but thin and flat by classical-guitar standards -- and it is fitted with Gotoh Abalone-inlaid Gold-plated tuning machines with Shell buttons. The peghead uses my proprietary Rear String Slot design; the soundboard uses my proprietary Projection Tuned™ BRACELESS soundboard design licensed from RainSong; and the heel has my signature Abalone heelcap. The inside of the soundboard is signed, dated and numbered (#9) by me. |
